Shop notes
How to use The Dagashi Counter guide, and its limits.
A few notes on how to use this guide.
Labels and local rules come first
Ingredients, allergens and dates printed on the packet take priority over anything written here. Food labelling and import rules differ by country; check with the authority that applies to you.
Allergies
Many Japanese snacks contain wheat, soy, sesame, peanuts, egg or milk. If you or a customer has an allergy, read the full ingredient list every time; recipes change.
Links
Outside links illustrate a point and are not endorsements. Some lead to pages in other languages and from unrelated industries.
Games of chance
Where the guide mentions lotteries, it treats them as entertainment with a cost. Gambling is restricted by law and age everywhere.
Contact
There is no shop, catalogue or order line here. Corrections are applied when pages are revised; each page shows its revision date.
